Check (+) coil is 12V when ignition on Remove (+) (-) from coil, should be ~3.2 ohms (no ballast) Order new rotor - should be the more expensive red one (rotor can go bad and short the spark down to the distributor) Check spark from coil either through spark plug or just take wire off of center of distributor Can also take ignitor/distributor off (-) of coil, setup spark test and then ground and release the coil (-), should spark if coil good Crane XR-700 ignition more reliable than Pertronix according to Greg Solow Crane has 2 yr warranty via Moss, Pertronix has 2.5 yr warranty Distributor is DM2P4 (40480A) - not the replacement 25D4, actually Pertronix LU-149 Or LU-241LSN12???? Or LU-241LS?? Cheaper option: Accuspark?
