From: DLylis@aol.com Date: Tue, 10 Mar 2009 20:38:13 EDT Subject: Pin Removal The piece of channel on the right presses against the end of the pin on the outboard side of the chassis. The piece of channel on the left goes over the inboard end of the pin so that the channel allows some movement of the pin out of the hole. At the bottom are two bolts, nuts and spacers to keep the two pieces of channel at a fixed distance apart. Two more bolt go in the upper holes without spacers and those get tightened to bring the upper end of the contraption together and push the pin into the channel. You obviously want to use pretty hefty stock for this. I have not used this but am told by the designer that it worked well when heating, oiling and pounding did not.
