Triumph/TR3A Projects:Head Gasket Replacement:Head Replacement

This time when I needed to pull the head I documented all the steps.
Pull the air cleaners Pull the carbs
(disconnect choke, throttle, gas line and vacuum) 		Remove intake manifold Remove exhaust manifold and valve cover
Remove thermostat housing Disconnect heater hose
(I'm missing the next photo, showing valve rocker and tappet removal) 		Lift off the head.
Note the blown gasket on the third cylinder. 		The new head and valves installed.
I used a shim and a gasket
to try to lower compression (turns out it wasn't enough) 		Exhaust manifold back on Intake and carbs on to test compression
